A BIG out for reigning premiers Frankston YCW on the eve of the season, with star forward Anthony Bruhn being cleared to Collegians in the VAFA.

The triple premiership player has gained a senior teaching position at Wesley College and this involves Saturday work which would have made it difficult for him to get to YCW games on time.

Collegians (Wesley College’s VAFA team) are based nearby so he has nominated them as his home club.

“Over the last three years Anthony has been a great player for us and we wish him every success with his new career at Wesley and also with his VFL footy at Footscray,” Frankston YCW coach Wayne Capp said.

Meanwhile, Seaford captain Josh Stokes will miss the season after a serious injury.

He tore his ACL in the first minute of the first practice match against Narre Warren last month. Dean Williamson will be Seaford’s captain.

Similarly, Chelsea on-baller Daly Shannon did his ACL recently while playing in Darwin.
