THE bottom-four teams from the Riddell District Football League will have the state’s maximum player points allowance in 2019.
AFL Goldfields has confirmed the player points limit each of its clubs will operate with next year, with RDFL teams Broadford, Lancefield, Melton Centrals and Rockbank allocated 47.

AFL Victoria has dropped the statewide maximum from 48 to 47 points.
Finalists Diggers Rest, Riddell, Rupertswood, Romsey and Macedon will again have 42 points at their disposal, while Wallan’s limit has dropped from 44 to 42.
The Burras named a team worth 41 points in this year’s RDFL decider, while Riddell’s grand final side tallied 39 points.
Macedon (29 points), Rupo (32 points), Wallan (33 points) and Romsey (23 points) had considerable room to move during the finals series.
Woodend-Hesket, which finished seventh this season, has had its allowance trimmed from 47 to 45.
The player points system has been in place since 2016 and operates in conjunction with a salary cap.
AFL Goldfields has maintained the $110,000 salary cap limit for RDFL clubs for 2019.
Clubs in the third tier of the neighbouring Essendon District league — known as Division 2 — will have a $145,000 allowance.
East Sunbury, Sunbury Kangaroos and Burnside Heights will compete in EDFL Division 2 in 2019.
EDFL Premier Division teams can spend up to $220,000, double the RDFL allowance.
The RDFL salary cap is the second highest of AFL Goldfields competitions, with the Ballarat ($140,000), Central Highlands ($105,000) and Maryborough Castlemaine ($75,000) also locked in.
Nine of the 11 Ballarat clubs, including Sunbury, will have a player points limit of 43.
Melton South and Sebastopol (47) have an additional four points than their BFL rivals.
AFL Goldfields said clubs could apply to be granted an allowance higher than 47 points, with requests to be decided upon by AFL Victoria.
