TYABB has landed a prized recruit, signing wholehearted Frankston Dolphins midfielder Jordan Pollard.

The 25-year-old has played 60 VFL games with both Casey and Frankston and this year he won the Dolphins’ “most professional’’ award.

Tyabb coach Mark Paganoni says he will add skill and guidance to the young Yabbies list.

“He’s going to allow us to free up some players because he is a very good inside player,’’ he said.

“Even though he’s not big in stature he has a body that knows how to cope. He is going to be a very good player for us.’’

Paganoni got to know Pollard during a stint at the Dolphins a couple of years ago. “I liked the way he goes about it. He’s a really solid citizen,’’ he said.

Tyabb has also secured the services of St Kilda great Gary Colling as a leadership mentor.

The Yabbies ended last season on a high, snapping a 49-game losing streak.
