It was another promising season for one of regional Australia’s finest footy production lines.
The Gippsland Power boys team reached the quarter-finals, narrowly going down to miss a place in the final four.
As the 2025 AFL Draft looms closer, we break down how every player fared this season.
Malual Aleer
Stats: Four games, 5.3 disposals
The cousin of GWS defender, Leek, he spent most of his time at local level this season. He is a member of the GWS Academy.
Brodie Atkins
Stats: 16 games, 94 ranking points, 5.8 tackles, 15.4 disposals
Played every game as a bottom-age player. Found plenty of time in the middle and hopefully he continues to develop.
William Brent
Stats: 15 games, 11.1 disposals, 56 ranking points
Primarily used in defence throughout the season. An outside player who won plaudits in pre-season for the way he prepares, he was part of Traralgon’s premiership side in the Gippsland league.
Harry Butcher
Stats: 14 games, 71 ranking points, 4.5 intercept possessions
The Inverloch-Kongwak product was involved with the Power for the first time and didn’t look out of place.
Julian Callahan
Stats: Five games, 59 ranking points, 13.6 disposals
Started the season with the Power but eventually went back to local level with Leongatha where he earned several senior opportunities.
Harrison Canning
Stats: 14 games, 50 ranking points
The key defender enjoyed a strong run of games throughout the season after having been a lead-up forward.
Noah Christy
Stats: 10 games, 62 ranking points, 5.3 score involvements
Came back to the club as a top-age player after being with Xavier College in 2023. Showed his versatility across the ground.
Jesse Craven
Stats: 14 games, 106 ranking points, 19.3 disposals
One of the leading talents for the Power this season with a strong ability to find the footy. An impressive 2.14 kick to handball ratio. Was an over-age player.
Max Donohue
Stats: 16 games, 19 disposals, 3.8 intercept possessions
One of the leading intercept players in the Coates Talent League this season. Reads the game very well.
Willem Duursma
Stats: 15 games, 99 ranking points, 5.7 contested possessions
Expected to be one of the most highly sought after players in the 2025 AFL Draft. He already has three siblings at the top level.
Asher Eastham
Stats: 16 games, 91 ranking points, 24 goals
Primarily used as a key forward but demonstrated his ability at either end of the ground.
Jehi Esler
Stats: 12 games, 7.4 disposals
Described as a “solid defender” at the start of the season, he proved to be exactly that after holding down a spot for 12 games.
Xavier Lindsay
Stats: 12 games, 121 ranking points, 10.2 contested possessions, 5.4 disposals
The skipper was nothing short of brilliant this season. Battled injury at times, including a PCL injury which ended his year. He’ll be in the mix as a first round draft selection.
Wil Malady
Stats: Seven games, 54 ranking points, 3.9 score involvements
Showed his potential with 11 goals in seven games. Only an under-16 player this year, and looms as an exciting prospect in the next 24 months.
Liam Masters
Stats: Five games, 57 ranking points, 3.6 intercept possessions
A bottom-age player who broke into the Power line-up about halfway through the season after strong form locally for Moe’s senior side.
Thomas Matthews
Stats: 13 games, 69 ranking points, 1.5 clearances, 4.9 contested possessions
The lively small forward showed impressive signs throughout the year and finished the season strongly.
Ricky Mentha
Stats: 14 games, 58 ranking points, 12.3 disposals
The NT native played at the Under-18 National Championships after impressive form for the Power.
Marlon Neocleous
Stats: Five games, 11 disposals, 3.0 score involvements
Still only an under-16 player this year, he impressed when given the chance. One to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.
Finn O’Brien
Stats: Six games, 3.8 score involvements
A bottom age key forward prospect and more opportunities should come next season. He broke into Phillip Island’s senior side late in the season.
Zachary O’Keefe
Stats: 13 games, 86 ranking points, 4.3 tackles
A bottom-aged midfielder who will look to develop further next season. Consistently found the footy and is impressive in tight spaces defensively.
Matthew Pearce
Stats: Four games, 1.5 score involvements
The young ruck played his four games early in the season before returning to local level with Lakes Entrance.
Lewis Robbins
Stats: Five games, 5.0 disposals
The young ruck made the move to Victoria at the start of the season. Started his year with Warragul Industrials before joining Maffra. Eventually broke into the Power line-up late in the year.
Juddson Ryan
Stats: Eight games, 42 ranking points
Had a consistent run in the Power side through the middle of the year across several positions after strong form for local club Trafalgar.
Jobe Scapin
Stats: 13 games, 58 ranking points, 7.4 uncontested possessions
Was a consistent performer when given the opportunity across several roles. Able to do damage on the outside.
Riley Senini
Stats: 10 games, 1.6 score involvements
A bottom age player with plenty of potential. Plays his best footy on ball but was thrown forward at times this season. Locally, he played nine senior games for Warragul and was named in the best on seven occasions.
Brodie Snooks
Stats: Seven games, 41 ranking points
A player with an elite running capacity. Broke into the program for the first time this year. Used mostly in defence.
Mitchell Stevens
Stats: 16 games, 73 ranking points, 3.0 tackles
The Adelaide father-son hopeful, son of premiership Crow Mark, proved to be a mainstay in defence.
Max Stobie
Stats: 14 games, 94 ranking points, 20.1 disposals
One of the leading ball winners for the Power this season. As an over-age player he played a key role in supporting his younger teammates.
Harry Tatterson
Stats: 11 games, 9.5 disposals
Another bottom age prospect. Used in different positions across the ground. Also played nine senior games for Sale.
Alixzander Tauru
Stats: 12 games, 99 disposals, elite in several categories
After an early season injury his form eventually spoke for itself to become one of the hottest prospects in the country.
Archie Terlich
Stats: Nine games, 49 ranking points
Broke through for nine games in his bottom age year as a medium sized defender. Competitive in the air and at ground level.
Note: Anyone who played less than three games was not included.
