He left Sorrento for a northern adventure in 2015.
Jonny Croad was already a three-time Sharks premiership player when he took off to Queensland, hooking up with QAFL side Palm Beach Currumbin.
Now, after making a big impact up north, he’s back on the Peninsula and will pull on the Sorrento red and white jumper once again in 2022.
Croad, playing as a ruckman and forward, played in the Palm Beach Currumbin 2018 premiership, and this season won the league MVP award and the club best and fairest.
“It’s always great to welcome true Sorrento characters back into the fold,” Sorrento said in a statement.
“The Croad family are Sorrento pioneers, and are integral members of the Sharks football and netball.”
Sorrento has also signed Seaford captain Rourke Fischer.
The athletic key position player is a natural leader who has also played VFL with Collingwood and Frankston.
He’s also a Seaford best and fairest winner.
“His passion and communication skills will be an invaluable addition to the Sharks line up,” Sorrento said.
“The lure of moving up to Division 1 football has Rourke excited for 2022, and we are equally excited.’’
