Khan Haretuku is officially a Frankston Bomber.

The former Port Melbourne big man signed with the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League club last night.

“We’re rapt, mate,’’ Frankston Bombers coach Beau Muston declared.

“He’s going to be good for us, he will be one of the better players in the competition.’’

Haretuku recently retired from the VFL after a fine 152-match career with Frankston and Port Melbourne.

But he will kick on with the Frankston Bombers, Muston saying he will complement young Bombers ruckman Harry Prior, and boost the club’s push for a finals berth in MPNFL Division 1.

“He’s someone we’ve identified for a few years that we’d like to get to our footy club,’’ Muston said of Haretuku.

“He’s a guy who has played ruck, forward and had significant impact in both positions.

“He’s obviously very professional, he’s played 150 VFL games, (and) played at a high level for a long period of time.

“He will provide leadership to our group.’’

The Frankston Bombers have also regained Frankston Dolphins pair Alex Harnett and Jason Kingsbury “full-time’’, while former Dolphins and Bombers captain Mitch Bosward is another key addition for the 2020 season.

“We’ve got a nice influx of ex-Frankston Dolphins talent,’’ Muston said.

“Now it’s just a matter of getting complete buy-in to what we are trying to do and achieve.’’
