Williamstown VFL player Fraser Phillips has joined the Redlegs on a home-club basis.

The 20-year-old hails from Warragul and played with Gippsland Power, where he was leading goal kicker and co-captain in 2019 earning him Vic Country selection.

Rookie drafted to Carlton in 2019, he spent the disrupted 2021 season playing with the Blues’ VFL side.

Phillips has just signed with Williamstown for the 2022 season, and Mt Eliza will be his home club.

“We are super excited to support as his local club,’’ Mt Eliza said.

“A crafty half forward with a natural goal sense, he is just as comfortable kicking goals as he is pushing up to connect and defend.

“He has packed a lot into just 20 years and compliments our exciting young list with his experiences at the top level.’’

Phillips joins Frankston Dolphins VFL player Nathan Scagliarini, Jordan Capkin, Anthony Cleary and Ben Landry as recent Mt Eliza signings.
