Seaford led by 10 points at half-time, but Pines made its winning move with a seven-goal third quarter.
Pythons onballer Paul “Chewy” Scanlon was instrumental in the second half, dominating centre clearances and stoppages.

Pines spearhead Aaron Edwards was also pivotal, slotting 6.3, while Guy Hendry was moved on to Seaford forward Brayden Irving, who had been a factor, and kept him quiet.
Seaford coach Ben Murphy said his Tigers would learn from the loss.
“We don’t think our best players played to their capacity so we think we’ve got some upside to that performance,’’ he said.
“We definitely take some things out of it. We learnt a little bit more about them and a little bit more about us. It’s just good to be involved in a big game.’’
