Former AFL player Ben Crocker is on the move from one Mornington Peninsula league club to another.
The 26-year-old has signed with Division 1 club Rosebud and is expected to play with the Buds when he isn’t playing for Collingwood’s VFL team next season.
Crocker, who last played in the AFL in 2020, is familiar with the MPFNL after playing a handful of games last season for fellow Division 1 side Langwarrin when he was aligned with Carlton.
At the Blues, he was the captain and kicked 17 goals in the VFL in 2023.
“Crocks an exciting addition,” Rosebud coach Danny Ades said.
“I like to plan ahead further than the upcoming season and with the likes of Mitch White and Crocker coming in and rubbing shoulders with our developing group and coaching staff even limited in appearances, it’s a clear positive (for the club).”
Rosebud now has three VFL captains, current and former, on its list for 2024 with Mitch White and Campbell Hustwaite also at the club.
The team will play its first game of the new MPFNL season on March 30 against Sorrento.
