PEARCEDALE coach Leigh Stewart has resigned after two seasons in charge.
He informed the club of his decision on Saturday.
“I’ve just had enough, mate,’’ he said.
“It’s a tough job. I just lost a bit of motivation to be honest.’’
Under Stewart, Pearcedale finished ninth in 2017 and seventh this season. A lengthy injury list cruelled the Dales’ campaign in both seasons.
Former North Melbourne and West Coast Eagles star Drew Petrie helped Pearcedale to a morale-boosting win in June.
Stewart believes the Dales need a playing-coach to help guide their young players.
