NICK Jewell has confirmed he wants to re-enter the football coaching ranks next season.
The man who guided Rosebud to the 2015 premiership says he’s spoken to four MPNFL clubs already.
“It’s just really early doors,’’ he said.
“If there’s interest we will go from there.’’
Jewell says coaching Rosebud to the flag three years ago was the “most satisfying’’ achievement of his sporting career, which includes making centuries for Victoria and winning Sheffield Shield titles.
He also played an AFL game for Richmond and says he has a fire in the belly to coach again.
“It’s very different being a coach to a player,’’ Jewell said.
“You have the elation as a player. As a coach it’s relief and satisfaction with all the hard work and hours you’ve put in. It’s a very different feeling to a player.“
Jewell says he wants to coach a football premiership again, and several southern peninsula clubs are rumoured to be interested in him.
“Once you’ve tasted it, you want it again,’’ he said. “Certainly if the right opportunity is there I’m interested. We’ll wait and see.’’
