It’s one of country footy’s great debates — what league is the best?

There’s clear distinction about which competitions are the best in their own regions but how do they compare to the rest of the state?

The days of interleague competition appear to be behind us.

With no official rankings system in place, Leader Local Footy has attempted to rank the 37 country leagues across Victoria.

It comes after we named our top 50 country clubs and top 75 metro clubs of the year.
