Epping remains “absolutely” committed to remaining in NFL Division 2 in 2020.
The Pingers have struggled on-field this season, claiming just one win, but rejected any suggestion of moving back to Division 3 in order to rebuild.
There will be no relegation from Division 2 this season as the NFL restructures the competition to 10 teams for next year.

KING: ELTHAM COACH GONE IN SHOCK SACKING
Epping moved up to Division 2 after Lalor requested relegation after the 2018 season, winning six games in its first year.
Injuries have decimated the club this year and Pingers president Kirsty Stilsby said the club had worked too hard to give up its position in the second tier.
“The reason for the on-field struggles is mainly due to injuries. I know at one point we had 24 injuries on our list,” Stilsby said.
“Looking forward, we’ve already re-signed 22 of our players for next year.
“That’s a great thing from a club aspect, we haven’t had the on-field success, but the (players) aren’t going anywhere.
“We wouldn’t have decided to go up last year if we were going to turn around and say we’re going to be back down.”
The club’s confidence extends to coach Aaron Johnson with the first-year mentor secured for next season.
“We’re really happy with the way Aaron is going,” Stilsby said.
“I think (Johnson’s coaching) has got a lot to do with the re-signings as well.”
Epping faces premiership contenders Banyule and Eltham in the final fortnight of the season.
However, the club will host finals after being confirmed as one of the venues for Division 2 men’s and all women’s finals.
Regaining access to Epping Reserve has been a late-season financial boost for the Pingers.
“Playing on the back oval, I believe, has had a lot to do with the injury list,” Stilsby said. “Financially, we’re a lot better off when we’re back on the main oval.”
