Several Essendon District league clubs have already made coaching decisions for next season.
Hadfield has announced Brett Pitts will step down from the role as senior mentor after six years in the job.
Pitts is set to remain at the club as the director of senior coaching with the announcement coming just days after the Hawks shock victory over the Northern Saints.
“We thank Brett for everything he has done over his six years as senior coach. When Brett came back to Hadfield in 2018, the club was in a bit of a tough spot and he has done a fabulous job to bring the senior footy back from the brink,” Hadfield said in a social media post.
“The Pitts family has been a staple of Hadfield Football Club for many years and we look forward to Brett still being a part of the senior program and the Pitts family also being a part of Hadfield moving forward.”
Meanwhile, Keilor has confirmed long serving coach Mick McGuane will lead the EDFL powerhouse for a further two years.
The Blues are currently undefeated at the top of the Premier Division ladder.
“This is a significant appointment and another important step forward in the progress of our club with our senior men’s team,” Keilor president Ray Sheridan said.
“We are under no illusions about the hard work ahead of us. By the same token, we are excited about the challenge of building a club that our members are proud of and one that delivers sustained on-field success.”
Glenroy has confirmed Ross Young will take the reins of the Division 1 club again next season despite a year that has seen the club facing the prospect of back-to-back relegations.
Confirming the announcement, the Roys said Young had faced “external factors” beyond his control.
“Dean has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the team, working tirelessly with the players and formulating plans for the next season,” the club said.
“ His commitment, along with the wholehearted support of his family, towards the club, its players, and stakeholders, has been truly exceptional.
“Taking these factors into consideration, we believe it is crucial to set things in motion and provide a sense of certainty for the future of the club.
“The Glenroy Football Club extends its best wishes to Dean and the team for the remainder of the 2023 season and looks forward to an exciting 2024 season ahead.”
