Another week, another dominant second-half display from East Keilor.

The undefeated Cougars have made a habit of destroying opposition sides after the main break this year.

Pat Christofi’s side booted 18 goals to two after half-time against struggling Oak Park in EDFL Division 1 on Saturday to register its third win by more than 100 points in four games this season.

A 12-goal last quarter added a few coats of varnish to the 123-point triumph, 25.15 (165) to 6.6 (42).

“We were just a bit quiet in the first half and I think we didn’t play our brand of footy,” Christofi said.

“Once we re-addressed it at half-time, we turned that around.

“I’m impressed with the way they responded and understood the urgency of where the game’s at and where we need to be at to compete against the better sides.

“That’s the promising and pleasing thing in our group.”

Mitch Parsons had plenty of competition but took best-afield honours after an “outstanding” performance on the wing.

However, he did sustain an ankle injury in the dying stages of the contest.

Dion Hill bagged nine goals to take his season tally to 25, while gun midfielder Josh Grabowski kicked six in another eye-catching effort.

“To his own standard, he (Hill) had a very quiet first half,” Christofi said.

“He raised the bar in the second half. He’s travelling where he should be at.

“Josh is one of the assistant coaches, but his leadership is not questioned at all.

“He’s a total professional and all round — training, recovery, rehab, the lot.

“He’s brought that to the group and it’s made a big difference.”

The Cougars now turn their attention to a massive month, with games against Westmeadows, Tullamarine, Craigieburn and West Coburg.

While they have enjoyed a dominant start to the campaign, the coming weeks will reveal where they sit in the pecking order.

“It’s a new block for us, so really enjoying what’s ahead,” Christofi said.

“Westmeadows have got a lot to offer and we’re really looking forward to that challenge. From all accounts, they’re flying.”

In Division 2, Moonee Valley made it back-to-back wins with a 60-point victory over East Sunbury.

Maribyrnong Park was outgunned by 54 points by Pascoe Vale in Premier Division, while Airport West went down to Keilor by 76.
