Joseph Toma, Nineph Israel, Marcos Kadon and Jaycob Secchi face court for alleged meth, cocaine bust
A group of alleged drug mules busted by Federal Police have given an indication as to whether they will fess up to the various charges hanging over their heads.

A quartet of alleged drug mules say they “intend to plead guilty” to a series of trafficking charges in relation to a major federal police sting.
Joseph Toma, of Greenfield Park, NSW, top Melbourne futsal player Nineph Israel, 24, of Craigieburn, Marcos Kadon, 21, of Maribyrnong, and Jaycob Secchi, 24, of Niddrie appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for committal mention on various drug trafficking charges.
Among the charges involving all four men include jointly trafficking a commercial quantity of meth.
All four men appeared via video link from custody.
When asked how they would plead to the various charges each man told Magistrate Donna Bakos “not guilty until sentence indication”.
The quartet’s lawyer Rob Melasecca told the court they had been “trying valiantly with the Commonwealth” to resolve the matter and that “at this stage” the intention was for each to plead guilty during sentence indication.
Both Mr Israel and Mr Toma face charges of dealing with proceeds of crime valued at about $1m.
At a previous appearance in March the court heard Mr Toma handed himself in to federal police after returning from overseas.
Mr Secchi has been charged with possessing a traffickle quantity of firearms and trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine.
Mr Kadon faces three charges, including jointly trafficking a commercial quantity of meth.
The four men will return to court for a directions hearing at the County Court on August 6.
No application for bail was made.
