With gyms forced to close amid the escalating global pandemic and panic buying causing anxiety levels to rise, it can be hard to calm your mind.
But a Balaclava wellness studio has come up with a way to help keep members physically — and mentally — fit during self-isolation.
Upstate Studios is live streaming classes, with more than 40 sessions on offer each week.
And a ‘HIIT it, don’t quit it’ 14-day challenge kicks off on Thursday, giving you the chance to sweat it out in your living room daily.
For those who need to quiet their mind in these frenzied times, the Upstate of Mind Meditation Series offers five-minute guided meditation sessions each day live via Facebook and Instagram.
Co-founders and sisters, Gail Asbell and Charelle Coulohan, said the move aimed to encourage people to stay upbeat and motivated during this tough time.
“We’ve felt a great responsibility to support our team and to continue providing a happy haven for our community,” Ms Absell said.

“Never would we have dreamt, after 11 years, we would be closing the doors to the community and team we have built and whole heartedly love.
“We stand by our missions to help people create a positive state of mind and while our studio doors are temporarily closing we are just as committed to our mission as we were 11 years ago.”
Members can access the live classes via Upstate’s website or booking app, while new members can get 30 days of live streaming for $59.
