A VERY grateful Patterson Lakes mum whose daughter overcame cancer is giving back to the hospital that helped save her life.

The second consecutive Biggest Play Date will be held on International Children’s Day with all proceeds to go to the new Monash Children’s Hospital building.

Vanessa Miranda, whose daughter Taylah was diagnosed with leukaemia at age 14, said she simply wanted to turn her appreciation into action.

She’s arranged Sunday’s events — at Chelsea’s St Joseph’s School — to include “a wonderland of children’s activities” with superheroes, princesses, rides, mini golf, balloons, face painting and farm animals.

Coffee, ice creams, fairy floss, popcorn and a barbecue will also be available, with all funds to be given to the hospital’s children’s cancer centre.

The Biggest Playdate is on Sunday, May 28 from 1pm to 6pm at St Joseph’s School, 362 Station St, Chelsea.
