The votes are in and the best personal trainer in Melbourne’s inner south has been decided by Leader readers. The voting was close but one trainer took out the title.

Marc Stafford says fitness is an adventure.
The Hampton based personal trainer, voted the best in Melbourne’s inner south by Leader readers, takes his clients on life changing trips around the globe.
“There is an adventurous element to my training,” Mr Stafford said.
“I do have a partnership with Recreation Gym at the moment and run all their PT sessions but we also do a lot of training outside.
“And I also run a lot of overseas trips.”
The Kokoda Trail guide has completed the gruelling trek seven times as well as leading trips through Mont Blanc across France, Italy and Switzerland.
“Everyone taking part sign up to three months training before we go. As well as getting them physically ready it is a chance for the team members to get to know each other before the trip,” Mr Stafford said.
The coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdown may have clipped his wings for now but Mr Stafford said he had already started planning more local challenges for his Lifestyle Adventure Training clients.
“We do have trips in the Grampians and the Mornington Peninsula that we will hopefully be able to do again soon.
“The Mornington one is a great three day event that includes sessions at St Andrews Brewery and Portsea Pub and a recovery at the Peninsula Hot Springs.”
Mr Stafford said he worked hard to give clients the chance to socialise and forge community connections as well as build muscle and torch fat.
“Social and mental health is just as important as physical health,” he said.
Some of his clients have been with him for his entire career.
“I’ve been doing this for 18 years and there are people who have been with me since the beginning,” Mr Stafford said.
“I must be doing something right!”.
