A Melbourne party girl with a deplorable driving record has been warned by a magistrate she would be “suicidal” to drive a car before her next court date.

Meghan Young, 34, pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday to multiple driving while suspended and refuse oral fluid test charges.

Young, who has multiple drink and drug driving priors, was spotted driving through Sandringham on September 17 last year.

Young, whose licence was suspended at the time, sped off down Beach Rd and turned into a side street after police lit her up.

Police tailed Young and discovered her empty white Mercedes parked on Red Bluff St with the tail lights on.

Young, who was discovered walking nearby, told cops a “friend” had driven her car but refused to tell police who the friend was.

Police were on to the serial road pest again when Young was spotted driving along Burnley Rd on November 3.

The court heard Young kept her Mercedes idle while police closed-in then accelerated through a roundabout.

Police caught up with and nabbed Young in Toorak where they gave her a preliminary oral fluid test.

Young, who had her Merc impounded, walked away and refused to be tested again after the prelim indicated it was possible she had drugs in her system.

Young was again nabbed driving while suspended just before 9.30pm on Christmas Day last year.

Cops caught Young doing 100km/h in an 80km/h zone along the Dingley Bypass in Heatherton.

Young denied she was speeding.

“I was not doing 101 (Km/h),” Young told police.

Police also asked Young why she refused to take a breatho.

“To be honest I can’t be f**ked,” she said.

It was almost a lengthy six months later when road menace Young was in strife with cops again.

This time Young was pinched driving while disqualified on St Kilda Rd on June 5 this year.

Young also refused to accompany police to an oral fluid testing vehicle after she again failed a preliminary test.

The road pest was nabbed again on Balaclava Rd near Hotham St on September 22 this year.

Police lit Young up but she drove off down a side street and bailed from her car.

Young, who refused to hand over her car key, also refused another oral fluid test.

Her Mercedes was impounded again.

The defence, which conceded Young has a “terrible driving record”, submitted the poor driving kicked off following an “abusive” relationship with an “active drug trafficker”.

The court heard Young was introduced drugs during this relationship.

Magistrate Robert Stary told the defence he wanted to be convinced why Young shouldn’t go to prison.

“She’s got a flagrant disregard for authority,” Magistrate Stary said.

“(Young) will need to be here on the next occasion … she’s in a grave position, I’m going to say that to you now …

“I’m going to say this to you now it will be suicidal if you drive, I’m just warning you … if you’re apprehended driving in this intervening period … then they’ll be serious consequences.”

Young will face court again on October 27.
