PLANS for the future of Kingswood Golf Club have been revealed.
Developers held a public meeting at the Dingley Village golf course last night and draft redevelopment plans showed the majority of the course would be covered in a mix of low to medium density housing.
The Kingswood Project team said the development would have plenty of parks and four new wetland areas.
Project team spokeswoman Anna Martiniello said an extensive network of public open spaces was planned.
“The proposed open space network would reconnect the communities of Dingley Village and would improve access to the nearby village shops and community facilities,” she said.

The project has been at the centre of a heated debate among residents since the merger between Kingswood Golf Club and Peninsula Golf Club which led to the sale of the course in 2014.
Club member Bill Falkingham failed in a High Court bid to reverse the merger.
Kevin Poulter, secretary for the Save Kingswood group, said “thousands of birds and other forms of wildlife” would be displaced when many of the trees were cut down to build houses.
The plans will be shown to the community with the hope that they would be ready to submit to council before Christmas.
The project website, which will include drawings, planning details and answers to frequently asked questions, was launched on November 24.
