Melbourne’s three DFO shopping centres remain open despite workers testing positive to coronavirus at all locations.

DFO Essendon, South Wharf and Moorabbin will continue trading following three confirmed cases, with the most recent diagnosis announced on Thursday.

Management confirmed a Royal Doulton worker from the Essendon outlet, whose last shift was July 14, returned a positive test.

The cases join one diagnosis at Moorabbin, announced on July 20, and another at South Wharf, announced on June 24.

The Moorabbin worker — from Provincial Home Living — last worked on July 14 and the South Wharf worker, from UGG Australia, last worked on June 16.

All stores were closed for sanitation however the centres remain open.

DFO management said the Department of Health and Human Services gave “no indication” that customers who visited Royal Doulton Essendon or Provincial Home Living Moorabbin on July 14 were at risk however there was a “very low” chance UGG Australia South Wharf customers could have been infected on June 16.

Management confirmed contact tracing had been completed to identify anyone who came into close contact with the Royal Doulton staffer.

“We have also increased our cleaning roster since learning of the case, with additional focus on specific areas including handrails, toilets, door handles, sinks, change tables and parents’ rooms, as well as communal furniture throughout the centre(s),” an online statement read.

“This will continue for the foreseeable future.”
