A Braeside shopfront has been left in tatters after it was struck by an out of control car on Sunday.
Chelsea SES crews were called to G & A Automotive on Boundary Rd about 6pm following reports a black Honda hatchback smashed through the front window.
Ambulance Victoria crews assessed the P-plate driver as SES teams assisted Fire Rescue Victoria in removing the car from the building.
The Leader understands no one was seriously injured in the smash.
“Once the tow truck arrived, it was agreed that it would be safer and quicker to reverse the car back out of the building,” A Chelsea SES spokesman said.
“The owners insurance company were notified and had a shuttering service on their way to make the building safe and secure.”
