Grace is hoping to study biomedicine and Alisa is looking at a career in social science.

During their time at MLC, Grace and Alisa felt a sense of pride to be a part of the school’s global committee, which exists to discuss the best ways in which students and teachers can help make other international students feel more comfortable when moving abroad.

“The best thing we have experienced throughout our time at MLC is the diversity. We have so many international students coming to the school and there is a strong sense of inclusion across all year levels,” Grace said.

From upcycling clothes to playing tennis and piano, Natalya Kay has certainly kept busy during her VCE.

Natalya upcycles clothes in her study breaks and has studied humanities subjects that align with her passion and skill; her favourite being international politics.

She hopes to continue this passion through study at the University of Melbourne or Australian National University next year.

“I’ve always been interested in what’s happening in politics and society so pursuing humanities subjects felt like a natural fit for me and played to my strengths,” she said.

To relieve the pressures of VCE, she also enjoys running, playing tennis, and piano.

Through her role as a college prefect and building good relationships with her teachers, she said her self-confidence had grown significantly.
