Kew wins way to VAFA Division 1 grand final
KEW has won its way through to the Division 1 grand final after defeating Ormond in the second semi-final on Saturday.

Kew has won its way through to the Division 1 grand final after defeating Ormond in the second semi-final on Saturday.
The 10.12 (72) to 6.9 (45) win came on the back of a strong final quarter performance where Kew held Ormond goal-less while booting four of its own.
Jett Guerin booted three goals, while Darcy Spencer, Andrew Doxey and Timothy Allman each added two.
Kyle Margaritis starred, while Max Waters and Zachary Jones also impressed.
Kew will have a week off before taking on the winner of the Ormond v Old Geelong preliminary final.
Neighbouring St Mary’s Salesian lost to Old Geelong, 12.14 (86) to 6.8 (44), in the first semi-final.
In the Premier division, Old Scotch will be relegated to Premier B after losing to Old Xaverians on Saturday.
The Cardinals struggled to convert, going down by 29 points, 7.10 (52) to 2.11 (23). Samuel Margitich and Jack Bull stood tall for Old Scotch in the loss.
In Premier B, St Kevins Old Boys ended the regular season undefeated with a 97-point victory over Old Brighton Grammarians and secured the minor premiership with a crushing victory 22.17 (149) to 7.10 (52).
In Premier C, Old Camberwell finished its season with a 36-point loss to Old Haileyburians, 12.11 (83) to 6.11 (47).
Hawthorn secured a spot in the next round of the finals thanks to a win against Aquinas Old Collegians.
Jason Ince booted two goals for the Hawks, while Sam Gold starred and Jesse Lehmann was also among the best in the 7.24 (66) to 6.9 (45) win.
In Division 4, Canterbury had a shock defeat in its semi final, when it went down to North Brunswick by 11 points.
Scott Fitzgerald, Lachlan Chapman, Cameron Wynn, James Wilson and Andrew Baker each booted two goals in the loss. Clayton Skate was best afield while David Gates and Lachlan Chapman also battled gamely.
Despite the loss, the Cobras have a second chance after finishing on top
