PRAHRAN Greens candidate Sam Hibbins has made a pledge to reject all developer donations during the election campaign.
Cr Hibbins made the announcement, which is also a party policy, with Greens Leader Greg Barber, outside 661 Chapel St.
Cr Hibbins said he pledged to not accept developer donations “to restore trust and integrity to planning in Prahran”.
“I challenge both Liberal and Labor candidates to make the same pledge or reveal if developers have donated to their campaigns,” Cr Hibbins said.
“Residents in Prahran have lost confidence in the planning system with decisions made by the Planning Minister (Matthew Guy) favouring big developers over local residents.”
Cr Hibbins said the Greens did not accept any donations from developers and also published the names of donors of amounts surpassing $1000 on their website.
