A man will face court after he allegedly produced a fake gun and pointed it at a ute in the carpark of a busy McDonald’s restaurant.
Stonnington detectives arrested two men following the incident at McDonald’s in Chadstone restaurant, opposite Chadstone shopping centre, on Friday, July 16.
Detective Senior Constable Brett Dickson said two men allegedly entered the store on Dandenong Rd in Malvern East about 8pm, with one of the men getting into an argument with the manager.
The duo then left the store, and one of the men then produced a gel blaster and pointed it at a white ute in the carpark.
Sen-Constable Dickson said it was unclear if there was anybody inside the ute, and the duo did not make any threats or demands.
Police then spotted the two men walking along Dandenong Rd a short time later and arrested them.
