A woman has been caught and arrested in Mitcham after a police chase through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
A 24-year-old Healesville woman is being held in custody as police investigate reports of an alleged armed robbery in Kew this morning.
Police have been told a woman pulled a weapon on someone on Yarra Boulevard about 9.10am, demanding they hand over their phone.
The victim refused to give up their phone and the woman reportedly drove off in a silver Lexus station wagon.

A short time later, when police tried to pull the car over, the driver refused to stop.
The Lexus was then spotted in Bulleen, where police began a pursuit.
The pursuit came to a halt at the intersection of Mitcham and Victoria roads in Mitcham, where the woman was arrested.
