The Chapel St precinct prides itself on being different — and that will be no different in the run to Christmas with a special guest roaming the streets.
After much self-reflection and a spell in the gym, ‘Summer Santa’ represents the more diverse community of the area, Chapel Street Precinct Association general manager Chrissie Maus said.

“Summer Santa will be ‘slaying’ it on Chapel St and wants to meet everyone — he’s vibrant, stylish, handsome, traded a reindeer for a rescue dog and wearing the most chic attire from the precinct’s retailers and funky op shops.
“While he may have had an image makeover, his message of love and giving has not only remained the same, it has evolved.”
