A man is accused of exposing himself to a female Chadstone worker outside one of the shopping centre’s poshest cosmetics shops.

Malvern police have asked for the public’s help to identify a man following the alleged incident on October 31.

Constable Max Parkinson said the woman, believed to be a clothes shop worker in her 20s, was on a toilet break when the man passed her about 8pm, outside the Chanel store.

Constable Parkinson said the man was allegedly already exposed through his jeans when he locked eyes with the woman, lifted up his shirt for about five seconds, and made his way around a corner.

He said investigators believed the man stayed at Chadstone for 30 minutes after the alleged incident.

Constable Parkinson said officers had obtained CCTV footage of a man police wished to speak to about the incident from Chadstone management.

“Our concern is people doing stuff like this brazenly and it could escalate,” he said.

The man police wish to speak to is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, bald, of caucasian appearance, and was wearing a black face mask, black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to phone Malvern police on 8823 5600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
