Woman trapped in Macs Cove rollover

A woman in her 70s is trapped in her car after it rolled off the road near Lake Eildon.

A woman’s car has rolled 50m off the roadway, trapping her in the vehicle, in a horrific crash in the state’s northeast.

Emergency services have been called to the scene on the corner of Mansfield-Woods Point Rd and Ashwin Rd in Macs Cove.

It’s understood the car is resting on its side, with the female driver trapped.

According to the Vic Emergency map, three emergency vehicles are on the scene of the rescue.

A spokesperson from Ambulance Victoria confirmed the service was called to Macs Cove just before 3pm.

“Paramedics are assisting with the extrication of a woman in her 70s,” they said.

“At this stage she is believed to be in a stable condition.”
