Six CFA units battle 1ha grass fire surrounding house and damaging shed in Wyuna East

Fireys have battled a 1ha grass fire surrounding a home that damaged a shed in the state’s northwest.

Emergency services, including six CFA units, police and Ambulance Victoria were called to the scene on Finley Rd in Wyuna East just after noon on Monday.

Upon arrival, crews discovered the blaze involved farm rubbish and a small shed.

“Units responded from Kyabram, Girgarre, Tongala, Undera and Merrigum,” a CFA spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the incident was ongoing.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said no emergency treatment or transport was required.
