Queensland man dies in tractor rollover near Shepparton

A 56-year-old man died after his tractor rolled on a regional road in Victoria’s north while another man was injured when a tractor fell on him.

One man is dead and another is seriously injured after two separate incidents involving tractors near Shepparton.

The fatal incident, a tractor rollover, occurred on Goddard Rd in Wyuna East on Friday afternoon.

Police believe the driver of the tractor, a 56-year-old Queensland man, rolled the vehicle just before 1.30pm.

He died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined, and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Earlier on the same day, a tractor fell on a man on Lemnos North Rd, Lemnos about midday.

The man in his 30s was flown to The Alfred in a stable condition with serious but non-life-threatening upper body injuries.

There have been 60 deaths on Victorian roads so far this year.
