A motorcyclist has been killed in a horror collision with a car in the state’s north.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are Nanneella scene after the tragedy about 2.15pm.
They’ve been told the motorcycle and car collided at the intersection of Winter Rd and Webb Rd.
The motorcycle rider — who is yet to be identified — died at the scene, despite the car driver stopping to help.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam/CCTV footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
It takes the road toll to 207 so far this year, compared to 180 this time last year.
