A man has died in hospital and a woman is in custody after an alleged stabbing in Wangaratta.

A man has died after allegedly being stabbed in Wangaratta on Sunday night.
Victoria Police homicide squad detectives are investigating after an altercation occurred at a Vincent Rd address about 11.30pm.
The man was taken to hospital, however he died several hours later.
A 47-year-old Wangaratta woman was arrested and taken into custody where she will be interviewed in relation to the death.
Police allege those involved were known to each other.
A crime scene has been established and detectives will investigate to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
