Liam Sean Clohosey pleads guilty to child sex offences

An Echuca cyclist encouraged a young girl to be involved in the production of child abuse material, a court has heard.
Liam Sean Clohosey, 20, pleaded guilty to intentionally encouraging a child to be involved in the production of child abuse material.
Clohosey, who appeared in the Echuca Magistrates’ Court on October 16, also pleaded guilty to transmitting indecent material to the girl.
Clohosey was 19 at the time of the offending, which went from June 5, 2023 to October 10, 2023.
Clohosey, a known racing cyclist in the Echuca area, was charged by police on February 19.
The Echuca man was initially facing 20 charges but he has pleaded guilty to four charges after most were withdrawn.
Clohosey’s guilty plea will continue at the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on November 29.
His bail was extended until that date.
