People able to escape Howqua River floodwaters

The SES were called after two vehicles became stuck in flood waters near Mansfield.

Two people have been able to rescue themselves from the Howqua River after their cars became stuck on Friday morning.

Paramedics and SES were called to the Dungeon Gully track, near the Running Creek camping area, about 10.15am Friday to reports of waters being up the the windows of the vehicle.

Upon arrival however, no emergency services were required and both vehicles were able to move themselves to safety.
