Boy, 9, fighting for life after quad bike crash at Muckatah property, north of Shepparton

A nine-year-old boy is in a critical condition after his quad bike crashed on private farmland near Shepparton, sparking a WorkSafe investigation.

A boy, 9, is in a ctirical condition after a quad bike accident in Victoria’s north.

A nine-year-old boy is fighting for life after a quad bike crash on a private property in Victoria’s north.

The child was understood to be riding an ATV about 50km north of Shepparton when it crashed about 8.30am on Tuesday.

The accident took place on a private property on Cottons Rd in Muckatah.

A police spokeswoman said the boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said three patients were assessed and treated by a team of medical professionals including Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics, Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS).

According to police WorkSafe has been notified and is investigating.
