The teenage girl involved in a horrific three-way pileup east of Shepparton on Friday evening has died from her injuries.

The teenager involved in a horrific three-way pileup east of Shepparton has died from her injuries.

Police allege that a Toyota Camry, a Toyota Orien and a Mazda wagon collided at the intersection of New Dookie and Boundary Rd at around 6.20pm.

The driver of the Camry was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while two of his passengers were taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The 17-year-old Lemnos girl died today, while the 32-year-old Lemnos man remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Mazda Wagon, a 68-year-old Cosgrove woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, as was her passenger, a teenage Dookie boy.

The 66-year-old Dookie man driving the Orien was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The crash occurred on the same road as a horrible crash that killed two children last October, with Nationals MP Kim O’Keeffe calling for a drastic change in road safety.
