One missing, firefighters hurt while battling factory fire on Superior Dr, Dandenong South
A man’s body has been found days after an inferno at a Dandenong South factory.

Police have recovered the body of a man from inside a Dandenong South paint factory that went up in flames in a chemical explosion on Friday night.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was feared dead for almost two days before his remains were found inside the factory on Sunday afternoon.
He is believed to be aged in his 50s.
Arson detectives remained at the factory on Superior Drive on Sunday.
The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters battled the Dandenong South blaze into the night after four people, including two firefighters, were taken to hospital.
A 60-year-old man was rushed to The Alfred with upper body injuries along with another person, while a man in his 40s and another in his 30s have been taken to Dandenong Hospital with upper body injuries.
Late Friday, a Fire Rescue Victoria spokeswoman confirmed one of those firefighters had since been discharged from hospital.
“The other firefighter remains in hospital under observation and is doing well,” she said.
Three fire trucks with a total of 12 firefighters will remain at the scene overnight.
The Herald Sun understands building surveyor was still required to declare the structure safe before emergency crews would be permitted to enter the factory and begin investigations.
Firefighters were called to the huge blaze at the paint factory on Superior Dr about 12.23pm on Friday.
The fire was still burning at 4.25pm, with over 120 firefighters and 40 appliances working hard to get the inferno under control.
Residents in the Dandenong South surrounding the Hammond Rd area were urged to take shelter indoors.
Strong winds forced thick black smoke to drift over houses south of the fire.
Residents in the area were told close vents and ensure cooling systems was turned off, and to bring pets inside.
Multiple explosions were heard from the scene of the blaze.
A Watch and Act message was issued for the area and Hammond Rd was closed between Bangholme and Greens roads.
It comes after staff at a manufacturing company self-evacuated from a huge fire in Altona.
About 35 firefighters rushed to Kororoit Creek Rd in Altona about 7.30am on Friday after reports of a fire at a resin manufacturing company.
It took authorities over an hour to bring the harrowing blaze under control which had erupted near a pipe.
It’s understood the pipe was used to manufacture solvent and had a leak.
A scientific adviser from Fire Victoria Victoria, WorkSafe, EPA, Western Water also attended the Altona fire.
A community advice was also issued.
