The hunt is on for alleged laptop thief wearing a Freddy Krueger mask in Mulgrave

A man wearing a mask depicting a notorious movie creep allegedly ram raided a business in Mulgrave. Can you help catch the villain?

A man wearing a nightmarish mask of villainous killer Freddy Krueger was involved in the alleged ram raid of a Mulgrave business.

A man disguising himself with the distinctive Nightmare on Elm St terror allegedly used a white Mercedes Vito van to ram raid the roller door of the store on Gilda Court about 4.45am on Tuesday, June 14.

Following the alleged break in, the man then allegedly made off with multiple laptops and tablets.

Police have released CCTV footage of the incident, showing the man dressed in orange overalls.

The van’s number plates were covered, and investigators believe the Freddy Krueger imitator attempted to minimise damage to the back of the van by using a blanket to cover the affected parts.
