A Rosanna man is now a millionaire after a lucky Tattslotto ticket brought on a whim saw him claim a division one win.
The man in his fifties wanted to stay anonymous but said he discovered he had won on his way to work.
“I was in a daze, it didn’t seem real,” he said.
The winner said he wasn’t a regular Tattslotto player but it was a series of coincidences that made him enter the October 26 draw.
“I was at work and I happened to glance at the time, for some reason I just remembered the time and chose those numbers,” he said.
While some winners may be tempted to splash the earnings on luxury items or nights out, the lucky man said he would first pay off his mortgage.
He was one of four division one winners, collecting $1,007,593.45.
“It feels nice to know I’m a millionaire, it’ll be a good thing to have the mortgage off my back, just get all the business out of the way before spending it in a more pleasurable way,” he said.
