DONCASTER EAST

A 68-year-old Doncaster East woman was trapped inside her car after another driver suddenly attempted a U-turn in front of her. The smash happened in Greensborough Rd, Macleod, about 8.30pm on Monday, February 26, when a Toyota Yaris pulled on to the left shoulder of the road before doing a U-turn in front of oncoming traffic. Investigators believe the 68-year-old woman’s Toyota Echo struck the back driver’s-side panel of the Yaris before mounting a gutter, hitting a guard wire and flipping on its side. The woman was treated for minor injuries but the offending driver continued towards Lower Plenty Rd. The Yaris is described as blue and having a registration beginning with 1V. Information to Crime Stoppers.
