Credit card fraud led Manningham CIU detectives to a litany of stolen property when they made an arrest on January 17. A 25-year-old Blackburn North man was charged with using a stolen credit card taken from a car parked in Doncaster East in the early hours of January 16. Sgt Downes said police found stolen tools and computers after they got a warrant to search a property following the man’s arrest. “The items have been identified as coming from thefts from cars and garages in the Blackburn North and Doncaster areas,” he said. Sgt Downes said tradies should get their tools engraved to make returning stolen property easier.
