A BOX Hill development in the early stages of becoming Melbourne’s tallest suburban tower has nearly sold out.
Located at 545 Station St, Sky One will stand at 36 storeys and feature residential apartments and retail and dining spaces.
Golden Age Group sales consultant Ricky Chen said more than 95 per cent of Sky One’s residential lots had already been sold, despite construction being more than a year away from completion.
“(The development) has certainly attracted a lot of attention,” Mr Chen said.
“The construction is going well.
“The seven levels of the basement have almost been completed, which means people will definitely see the building coming up shortly.”
According to Golden Age Group, Sky One almost completely sold out within the first eight hours of its launch, turning over more than $140 million in less than a day.
Golden Age Group sales consultant Ivan U said buyers included mature age people and retirees who either wanted to live in a central location or secure an investment property.
“Box Hill is a very multicultural area,” he said, adding the development appealed to a range of families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
It is expected to home to about 438 residents.
Three levels of the building will be dedicated to high-end retail and dining, including a food market and a hair and beauty salon.
Other amenities include a gym, swimming pool, day spa, entertainment room, lounge, private cinema and a yoga studio.
Construction is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
