The future owners of luxury apartments in a towering Monash development can rest assured their city and mountain views will be protected thanks to a deal struck between the developer a major shopping centre.

Golden Age Group is building Sky Garden, a three-tower apartment complex that will feature 536 homes apartments next to The Glen shopping centre

The developer forked out $60 million to Vicinity Centres in 2017 for the air rights above the shopping centre.

Construction has now reached a key milestone, with the three buildings all topping out, giving a new skyline in Glen Waverley.

The project features one, two and three-bedroom units across three buildings and complement The Glen’s recently completed $430 million redevelopment.

The signature feature of the Golden Age Group development is an outdoor podium garden at the top of one of the buildings.

Designed by Aspect Studios, the garden will include a relaxation zone, entertainment lounges, vegetable gardens, a children’s area, and outdoor fitness sections.

The project will also include 613 parking spaces and 22,000sq m of glass facade.

A fully-equipped gym, a pool, a library, and two private function rooms with kitchens and BBQ facilities on the terrace are among the many other luxury features.

Golden Age Group director Jeff Xu said the company was “incredibly proud” of the Sky Garden project.

“We hope it puts Melbourne on the global stage alongside cities such as New York, Hong Kong and London,” he said.

The project is expected to be finished by the end of the year and house about 1500 people.
