School holiday fun at Greensborough Plaza, Banyule Flats and more

There’s heaps of family-friendly fun to keep everyone entertained these school holidays. From Jurassic crafts, to extinct insects and swamp wildlife — you’ll have a ball.

Fun, free activities that will be sure to drag your kids off the couch are being offered across Banyule and Nillumbik over the school holidays.

From a footy fever zone to Jurassic World crafting tables, there’s plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy.

Greensborough Plaza will have a roving raptor that’s ready for selfies), the kids can step outside and discover Banyule swamp’s birds and wildlife, or learn all about the endangered Eltham copper butterfly, conservation and plant species at the Andrew Yandell Habitat Reserve in Greensborough.

WEEK ONE

Greensborough Plaza footy fever zone

Children can test their footy marking skills in the giant inflatable football field or digitally paint their faces in their favourite team colours at the digital face painting station.

Free guided walk through Andrew Yandell Habitat Reserve

Learn about the endangered Eltham copper butterfly and its life cycle. Discover the challenges the bushland management unit face caring for this unique reserve, and how they conserve and protect endangered, threatened and locally significant plant species.

Eltham copper butterfly larvae counts

Help conserve the threatened Eltham copper butterfly by joining in the annual larvae count. Monitor the health of the population in Andrew Yandell Habitat Reserve with this vital conservation work.
