The alleged offender told them to “get out of the car” and tried to open the car doors before allegedly brandishing a knife.

The alleged victims called police and the offender got back in his Mercedes.

Shortly after, a white Volkswagen Golf pulled into the car park on the other side of the 20-year-old pair’s car.

Police believe a man got out and handed the alleged offender in the Mercedes a glass-breaking tool.

The alleged offender from the Mercedes approached the alleged victim’s car again and smashed the driver side window, unlocked the door and grabbed the car keys.

The alleged offender, who was still holding the knife and again told the alleged victims to exit their car as police were approaching the area before fleeing the area.

The 20-year-old pair were not physically injured but were distressed by the incident.

Detectives have released two facial composite images of men they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

The first image depicts the male police say was from the Mercedes who is described as caucasian, in his late 20s, with a thin build, short, sandy brown hair and wearing a grey hooded jumper.

The second image depicts the man police say was from the Volkswagen who is described as caucasian, in his early 20s, with a rotten front tooth and wearing a beanie and a dark puffer jacket.

It is believed there was also another man and woman in the Volkswagen at the time of the incident.
