A MULTI-million dollar redevelopment will bring more than 150 new jobs to Nunawading and attract shoppers from around Melbourne.

Outlet centre Brand Smart will unveil its redevelopment next month, which has seen it add 2700sq m and more than 20 new stores to its Whitehorse Rd precinct.

Brand Smart spokesman Michael Kahane said the redevelopment took 18 months to complete.

"We're still finishing off works so we can't give actual figures (for the cost) but it was a very substantial renovation that cost several million dollars," he said.

"Before the centre was around 7500sq m and now it's approaching 10,000sq m.

"Around 400 people will be employed through Brand Smart, where previously there were around 250 people working in the area."

Whitehorse Business Group chairman Peter Grierson said his group supported anything growing bigger or better.

"It's a sort of destination shopping centre for people and it's very much an attraction for the city of Whitehorse," he said.

The new Brand Smart will add more than 20 new shops including Sass & Bide, Priceline, and three restaurants.

Mr Kahane said the restaurants would attract more shoppers to the strip.
