FOR almost 30 years Nikos Cakes has provided the cure for Oakleigh’s sweet tooth.
The family-run business has served up the sweetest Greek treats to those visiting the thriving Eaton Mall precinct.
Owner Yianni Poupouzas said he had been working at the business more than 15 years and loved every minute of it.
“It’s been a real blessing to do a job you love every day and the most rewarding part is serving our wonderful customers,” Mr Poupouzas said.
He said their wedding cakes were created with passion and flavour.
“We have a vision for our customers and we are open to whatever they want to design. We love being creative and we are passionate about producing quality cakes,” he said.
Mr Poupouzas said people travelled far and wide for their galaktoboureko.
“We’re famous for this dessert by far because it’s made in the traditional Greek way and we take pride in our authenticity,” he said.
He said their food was homemade on the premises from scratch.
“We only use fresh ingredients and we know our customers appreciate our efforts so much,” he said.
“We love what we do here and it’s been wonderful to serve the community for all these years.”
